As we traveled along the very southern edge of County Clare we caught sight of our first Castle, Bunrattey, built around 1460. The castle is now adjacent to a folk park with period exhibits and demonstrations. Unfortunately we were too late in the day to visit the park and too early to partake in the medieval feast and entertainment put on in the castle. We did get a nice photo-op and our first pub meal across the street
We continued on to Limerick, of which for some reason we don't have a single photo. We planned to have dinner in Adare, just south of Limerick and on the way discovered Adare Manor where we took plenty of pics. I think I could live in a place like this
Adare is known for the thatched cottages on main street, where we also found a terrific local pub for diner
By the time we made it back to Limerick and our hotel we'd been on the go since leaving New Jersey the night before. A long day
