Slea Head looks exactly like you'd imagine Ireland: rolling hills crisscrossed by ancient walls of stone and dotted with sheep, ending in cliffs at the sea

From Dingle we made our way southeast to Killarney, where we pulled in so late that even the pubs had stopped serving food. So arriving tired and hungry at a Victorian hotel outside of town at the end of a very dark, wooded road, Sharon, Alec & Rebecca were convinced that Jack Nicholson would greet us at the front desk



DAY THREE

Waking the next morning however, we discovered it to be a grand old hotel with the most spectacular view of Killarney's Middle Lake

The hotel even had it's own castle: the ruin of McCarthy Mor just outside the door
